When Israel

Mourns

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced. . . ..

Zechariah 12:9,10

Fully grasping these truths . . . requires  exposing the link between . . . Zechariah, and the supernatural ministry . . . at the end of the Book.

The days are coming, when many in Israel will don the sackcloth, as the world laughs, and the Lord will finally return. Anti-Semitism will reach its peak as Jews look with new eyes upon that special hill, and place of the scull, where our sins were atoned for, and once more bring front and center the significance of the blood shed for the sins of humankind.

It will be like life arising from the dead (Rom. 11:15).

Fully grasping these truths, however, requires that we be willing to expose that amazing link between this prophet, Zachariah, and the supernatural ministry of the two witnesses at the end of the Book. We must do so now, for it is not possible to fully appreciate the scope of that “bookmark in Revelation” (that is, the eleventh chapter) without first considering Zechariah’s prophecy to Israel regarding her own return to the land, and to her God.

For the most part, this may seem novel so some, and so we will make much use of the Scriptures, themselves, to illustrate our point. As usual, when fully unlocked we will find ourselves with sweetness in our mouths, and bitterness in our bellies (Rev. 10:9) but we can not afford to remain as others who, on 9-11, were caught completely off guard, simply because they had not considered the “unthinkable.”

Nor is this really new, it’s just that we will here start to unveil some of the obvious, regarding God’s timing, further revealing how current the trends are aligning closely with Bible prophecy.

Regular readers will recall that we have often made reference to the “two witnesses” as representing the two major branches of the Church from a biblical view point. These two branches are united in Christ. “For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the [hostility] ” (Eph. 2:14,15a).

Further—and just in case we should think there is no further value to the Jewish branch of the body—Paul cautions gentile believers:

And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree,

do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.

Romans 11:17,18

These basic points are very important to understand, in the discussion that follows.
