    the State of the

Mustard Seed

Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, . . . .

Matthew 13:32

We also had those wings . . . of faith.

They are now being plucked off, entirely.

[now] we walk on the ground,

with a man's heart (that's humanism).

have you noticed who it is

 that has the

"big mouth"

in international affairs, today?

This emerging giant, this "baby nation," started out small, but assumed a reserved symbol. It was a symbol reserved for super powers such as Egypt and Babylon (Ezekiel 17)—the mighty eagle. So that, looking down through the ages, prophets were able to foresee the rise of this future superpower. Her dimensions and scope, were then only vaguely discernable. They knew only that she would play a major part in the closing of the age.

"I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea.

"And four great beasts came up from the sea, each different from the other.

"The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings. . . .”

Daniel 7:2-4 nkjv

That was us in this land, my friends, the US with British roots. The lion is on Britain’s coat of arms. We retained her language, and speak our English, but we also had those wings: wings of faith (Isa. 40:31).

Now those wings are being plucked off, entirely.

I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man's heart was given to it.

vs. 4b nkjv

The prophet next outlines symbols that were appropriate for Soviet Russia (the bear – vs. 5) the third world (the multi-colored, leopard – vs. 6) and the realignment of nations (the New World Order—considered a misnomer by some, yet bringing to mind an alliance of nations larger than (and including) the revived Roman empire– vs. 7b, 2:41ff, Rev. 13:1,2).

You may believe that the U.S. is not in prophecy because you see the writer (i.e. the prophet) as the authority, and not the Author (God – vice II Pet. 1:20). You may think it impossible for Daniel and John to have imagined such a government as we have within this country—and of course, you may be correct. They may have had no concept, whatever, of what we possess today. But Christ did, and HE knew that the stone “made without hands” would one day dominate the entire planet (Dan. 2:34,35). Thus, the lowly mustard seed has indeed grown beyond its natural herbal capabilities as a bush—and become a tree.

And yes, the Christian experiment, of a British colony launching itself on wings of faith, has indeed had its wings plucked, so that as a nation we no longer fly into those spiritual heavens as a nation.

Instead, we walk on what we can see: on the ground, with a man’s heart (that's humanism). Don’t look now, but the nation that prints “In God we trust” on its coins is rapidly becoming a humanist state! For in the US we also possess the freedom not to believe.

While you’re at it (closing your eyes to the obvious) you may also wish to ignore the fact that this wingless lion reappears in John’s description of the beast in Revelation 13. For, although this beast does have seven heads and ten horns . . . have you noticed something about its mouth (singular—one main mouthpiece)??

And his mouth like the mouth of a lion.

vs. 2

Say, that’s us, the wingless lion (the lion with eagle's wings—plucked)! By the way, have you noticed who is still the “big mouth” in international affairs, today?

Who took the lead in unsettling Saddam in Desert Storm & Iraq?

Who has taken the lead in the new democracy movement?

Who is visibly changing the world by her outspoken anti-terrorism leadership in world affairs?

. . . Who is the main architect, and promoter, of Israel’s so-called “road map to peace”???

“But I thought that there are seven (7) heads and ten (10) horns,” you say.

Correct.

But have you ever considered . . . Bible prophecy was given when these concepts included city states, within the “known world”? Today, we have a global reach—so why cannot Babylon4 sit upon seven larger mountains (as the text suggests- Rev. 17:9): why not seven . . . continents?

Closing note, in March 2010, after Health Care vote:

One of the original components of the above interpretation of this prophecy, regarding the place of the United States in the terminal generation involved a more detailed instruction referring to the third world being given "dominion"5.  At the time this revelation was given (in 1987) we were just emerging from the civil rights era, with Colon Powell as Secretary of State. Today, our US President, Mr. Obama, holds the reigns of power and is unashamedly ushering the US into a new socialist era—an era that many Christians are ill prepared to resist, because most (even within the church) are unprepared to resist the seductive nature with which this form of government gains power (by a covetous, and malicious, spirit--hoping to get "something for nothing."

For years, the church in the West has flattered herself, believing (perhaps unconsciously) that we are special, because we have freedom to worship.  No, this open door (Rev. 3:8) was a gift from God: a treasure for which we will give account.

For all others, willing to humble ourselves before the testing that now awaits on the horizon, may I humbly suggest considering the main article featured on the UPLOOK page, regarding glorification.

Be blessed in Jesus.

He still has everything under control,

and always will.
