The UPLOOK (May 2011) edited for Internet
. . . a power shift, causing the world's economic center . . . to move from one purely dominated by the West . . .
to one dependant upon the third world, as well.
As for the world's No. 1 supper power . . . We suspect [her] first mission . . . by use of those "eagle's wings" . . .
And now . . . Diversity:
Dominion
Am I dreaming? A black man in the White House??
now, I perceive that this nation is about to form partnerships . . . reminiscent of (post) WWII . . .
with Islamists . . .
Is there a price to pay? . . . .
For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
John 12:43
Last UPLOOK we explored the world of geopolitics as it relates to Bible prophecy, while highlighting a religious revival forecast for national Israel. We did this by exploring the Bible itself, and in a manner that some may find somewhat disturbing—especially when considering the penalty for betraying that little nation in the belly button of the world (the middle east). And it is in this regard that I must again warn readers wishing to avoid a rude awakening— to pay more careful attention to their Bibles— than to the politically correct soft soap that often churns out of Washington and (sadly) many church assemblies, today.
On the other hand, anyone who has followed the UPLOOK for more than twenty years may feel vindicated, when recollecting the 1987 interpretation of Daniel seven, as it relates to John’s Apocalypse. (In other words, the linking of Daniel 7:1-7 with Revelation 13:1,2.) Although it is true that I must confess not understanding that “revelation” nearly as well as I do, today, what was understood, was that the information then shared with Christian brothers and sisters, was for a reason: for the world was about to undergo a power shift, causing the world’s economic center of gravity to move from one purely dominated by the West . . . to one heavily dependant upon the third world, as well.
We will review some of that original interpretation, in a moment, but first must note a different shift that took place somewhat earlier, just after World War II. I speak, of course, of the rise of the second world power within Daniel’s seventh chapter: the rise of the Russian Bear.
"And suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear. It was raised up on one side, and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said thus to it: 'Arise, devour much flesh!'
Daniel 7:5
When originally envisioned, the three ribs were posited to represent Libya, Cuba, and Nicaragua—an insufficient acknowledgment of what Russia would actually accomplish in the unfolding of this prophecy. For although it is true that Russia would acquire surrogates states, the “three ribs” between its already powerful teeth did much more than simply facilitate devouring its prey. They were so fearsome that they made her immune to chastisement; even when others within the international community would seek to restrict, or halt, such activities. Thus, in describing the emergence of the number two super-power that would exist at the time of Israel’s restoration to her land, the above prophecy actually describes an ingenious insulating policy; as the Russian bear provided herself with useful partners (symbolized, by Cuba in the Americas, and Libya in the African continent) —while also making use of a third buffer, in the Eastern bloc, that would insulate her from rebuke by her European neighbors.
In other words, in a day when Stalin was devouring his own people (in the night, through covert abductions while “escorting” them to gulags) —Russia was able to turn on her own citizenry with a vengeance would at times match (or even surpass) atrocities executed by Quadaffi,—now prompting an international “outrage” and calls for his ouster—yet . . . at the time of her rise, Russia was so fearsome, with her “three ribs” of defense, that no nation dared to fully resist her campaigns against her own people.
As for the world’s No. 1 super power (the US) the preceding verse of Daniel’s prophecy has revealed our own nation’s awesome strength and immediate mission, just prior to, and following the fall of the Berlin wall. It describes a heart that betokens the world’s most noble standard-bearer of democracy—eventually becoming the world’s primary policeman, within an emerging new global order, that is now forming.
"The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings.
I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man's heart was given to it.”
Daniel 7:2
We suspect that the first mission of that noble character, is most obviously revealed by use of those “eagle’s wings.” For Scripture states that those who wait upon the Lord renew their strength, and mount up . . . as eagles (Isaiah 40:31). Of course, the small “detail” of our just happening to find our roots in another nation, whose symbol is the lion (Great Britain) does seem amazing. So that what we see here, is the world’s premier super power, on whose coinage and paper money is inscribed, “In God we trust” –rising on wings of faith, while speaking the English language.
All of this, in spite of naysayers, grumbling on the sidelines . . . until our wings are plucked.
How long, we wonder, does it take to pluck the wings, of a nation?
What happens, in the interim?
How can we accurately distinguish its more noble activities, from those less noble?
And what, pray tell, is that nation destined to become after her wings are doffed?
These are difficult questions, of this we may be certain; and painful to consider. Just as painful as it is, to have one’s physical limbs removed. Yet, one truth remains: that after the wings are plucked, it remains the same entity. If I were to have an arm amputated, I continue to be Frank Chisholm. I have not suddenly become someone else! (Quite obvious, until considering a point soon to follow).
And now, since we have come this far, we would be remiss not to reveal how it was possible to explain the shift, in 1987, that would begin to embrace the powers of the third world. This was discerned from the description of the third symbol (the third “beast”).
"After this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it.”
Daniel 7:6
Diversity: this is what this conglomeration of body symbols betokens. For the leopard’s multi-colored spots speak of a multi-ethnic manifestation that is much larger than any one, individual, country. This is then confirmed again, and again, by its “four wings” and “four heads” which speak of the four points of the compass (or “four corners of the earth” as was once expressed). Thus we have a world-wide entity, that the KJV describes as having the “four wings of a fowl”—or common bird. Interesting, but what was it that the angel said would mark this unusual creature?
Dominion.
When this was given to me in 1987, we had just witnessed an amazing development. For the Chief of Staff, was then a black man (Colin Powell). Then, in the next administration—for Secretary of State, we had Condolezza Rice and now, am I dreaming?? A black man in the White House??
How’s that for dominion (or control)? Yet the text read, above, represents much more than only one ethnicity, race, or culture: this is God, exalting the underdog, with a significance that grows, as we merge the symbols. . . .
For our next revelation on the world wide stage, will link us to John’s Apocalypse: chapter thirteen.
And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
Revelation 13:2 [emphasis added]
Now, hang onto your hats and buckle your seat belts, for we must now begin to not only see the emerging world order . . . but also what it is like for us to live in a world where the West no longer relies on American “wings” but on that “dragon” who will power the world of Antichrist. So that, as we gaze upon this composite global federation, we immediately recognize:
· The body of this international entity, represented by the leopard: the third world (notice anything about the composition of the . . . UN??)
· The feet are the feet of the bear
· The mouth—of the wingless lion.
And what is it that they are able to accomplish? Back to Daniel’s prophecy, in the same chapter, a few verses down:
"After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. . . .”
Daniel 7:7 [emphasis added]
Up to this point, past the formation of what is commonly called the New World Order, the US has been the mainstay, forming the bulk of leadership (“mouth”) and military muscle found within the new globalist empire. Yet notice the above wording, very carefully: it states that this entity (world federation) was first “devouring and breaking in pieces.” This is what the western powers have been doing, to date, as America has taken the lead in middle eastern military campaigns with her “iron teeth”
(which remind me of the sharp noses of F-15 fighter jets). Now, our present Administration has decided to change the course of America’s calling and, I propose to the reader, take a turn towards our ultimate (national) destiny as well.
For now, I perceive that this nation is about to form partnerships with foreign governments that are reminiscent of alliances made just after WWII—only this time, it is not with secular humanists and Communists (who we allowed to carve up eastern Europe, with impunity)—but with Islamists, whom our “politically correct” leaders now want for us to believe are benign, and harmless (in new Islamic middle eastern “democracies” for example).
Really!
Yet, when Christians are swept along, and hop aboard these political bandwagons to enable “peace plans” that leaders tell us will save the world (at Israel’s expense, of course) –will not the Lord require the blood of many who are lost, in this world, because of our complicity?
Will this nation then be found prostituting her heritage, for the favor of men?
Then again . . . what of the original Lover of our nation’s soul? Will we find ourselves having to pay a price to Him, someday?
Stay tuned.
