Imagine for a moment that you’ve been had. That flashy piece of office equipment that you purchased boasting that it could think for itself—has started to think for you, as well.

It has logged itself onto the Internet, networked itself with other machines, and become your master.

Maybe, they tell you, that’s how the third world war started. Maybe, you now believe, it’s just as well, for a virtual world (a matrix) is just as good as a real one. There's no real need to rebuild our shattered planet, just simulate an ideal (or, near ideal) dream world. Just think of it, all of that technology, and yet you may never

Escape The Matrix

You shall know the truth, and the truth will make you free (Jn. 8:32)!   So,  machines were now smarter than us. Does this also mean that they can out think us? Then the ones who control the fresh air will be the machines, and the true people (who visit us, in our fantasy world) would live in the sewers, and subterranean regions, below?

Those in the dark, in other words, are actually the more enlightened—as a swash-buckling, Kung Fu kicking, blaspheming, resistance movement: designed to bend spoons, visit witches (excuse me, “oracles”) and redeem humankind from the gods we originally created ourselves, and who now control us (the AI’s)—Say, which way is up, in this Matrix?

Actually, such confusion is to be expected within the world of the occult. Its purpose is to create a “magical” world: one that removes the unpleasant aspects of self-control (like righteousness, based upon the revealed will of God, within the Bible) while we impose our own set of values. Disciplines, who would dare practice a biblical world view (say, of a husband and wife unselfishly raising their children in to reverence God)—are cashed in for an adventure packed, fantasy world, where schooling is old hat (just put on a “thinking cap” to zap the info into your brain!) and we enter and exit our fantasy world through phone lines. But wait, has all of this “old fashioned” Bible stuff offended you? Guess what, it was expected to; at least, that’s what the Bible itself leads us to believe, about the end of the age.

    For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

    II Timothy 4:3,4

That last part, about “turning to fables”—did you notice it?

So now we live in the 21st Century, in an “enlightened age,” when people are not supposed to be afraid of the truth, we question everything: God, the Bible, and even reality itself—and put it to the test . . . or do we? Is it not the Bible, we were told, that was too simplistic”? Yet, now we are asked to believe in blind “fate”—a reality which controls our future according to a predetermined plan . . .yet actually operates, somehow, by blind chance (without Someone being behind it all, to control the outcome)??

And blind fate would determine who the savior of the world is (i.e. "The One").

How can fate be blind, and mindless . . .while at the same time control our destiny, and be able to “work miracles” to insure a definite outcome? I know, that twisted your brain a little. So, consider another, simpler, question: How can a creation outdo its creator?

How can man reasonably expect to outdo (or overcome) God?

Just for your information: the thing that is calibrated never exceeds the standard,  by definition. Man cannot create a machine that is intrinsically superior to himself. Machines may be “stronger” (able to lift materials heavier than ourselves) or faster (and perform multitudes of raw calculations)—but never be better, and able to outdo man in his basic humanity, intrinsic worth, or creative abilities for speech, poetry, or love. The thing created never exceeds its creator.

Nor is a man (or woman) ever superior to God. So those nightmares about the Matrix are just that: nightmares and a fantasy. Yet God, Who does control destiny, and does love us, also warns us not to take His name in vain (as the movie does, many times) or to consort with witches and “oracles” who would twist our values systems inside out (Deut. 18:10-12). God is not an “artificial intelligence” whom we created.

He has created us.

We do not live in a computer-generated matrix, with artificial sunshine, or a false hope of glory and personal fulfillment, in God’s presence.

We do live in the created universe, which God has spoken into existence, and which is maintained, even today, Scripture tells us—by His very word (II Pet. 3:7).

Upon what, and to Whom, will you cast the hope of your soul? Upon a computer generated fantasy that flatters you, by telling you that you are god, and have no need of the true God, so that you can live in the “real world” of the sewers (or near the earth’s center “where it’s still warm” . . .in a place called “Zion” but which feels more like Hell?) —or will you rest in the living Lord: the One who entered this created, hard-knocks universe of blood, and sweat, to demonstrate His genuine love for us?

One thing is certain: the truth is always costly (look what it cost Jesus, on the Cross!) It’s not that truth is difficult to discover —just increasingly costly to execute, when choosing to believe in (and commit yourself to) the truth.

Today, our world is forecasting hidden messages of distrusting (and hatred for) God, as it readies itself for the ultimate low, and the ultimate deception: of The One the Bible calls Antichrist. These ideas are being implanted through many means, including movies like the one mentioned above, to subconsciously tell us that God is . . . our enemy—while pointing to a day when the trap will be sprung, as the Neo Christ (Antichrist) emerges (Rev. 13:3-6, II Thes. 2:1-3).

For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, . . .

But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

    . . .

Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

    II Peter 3:5,7,13 [emphasis added]

God does not call us into a matrix. Instead, He calls us to new life in His Son, Jesus Christ. Will you accept His offer?

The Matrix is a dead end.

So are the sewers of Antichrist.

Jesus came to give us life, and that more abundantly. Choose Jesus Christ: the way, the truth, and the Life!
